Plans have changed, and the longtime former Indigo Grill space that was previously set to become a Mexican restaurant is now going to open as Allegro, a traditional Italian eatery from the team behind such San Diego dining concepts as Greystone Steakhouse, Saltwater, and Osteria Panevino.
This past January, San Diego’s Cohn Restaurant Group shuttered its Little Italy Latin American eatery Indigo Grill after more than two decades in business. It was previously reported that the owner of such area concepts as Harry’s Coffee Shop in La Jolla, Cass St. Bar in Pacific Beach and The Venetian in Point Loma took over the prime space to open a second Harry’s Taco Club, but those plans are no more.
